Thomas Sowell’s Intellectuals and Society Book Review

by Lee Doren on January 17, 2010

As many of you know, Thomas Sowell is my favorite author. That is why I was so excited to read his newest book, Intellectuals and Society. Well, I just finished the book yesterday, and I believe that this may be one of Sowell’s best.

Since I give an in-depth review of the book  in the video below, I’m not going to rehash everything I already said. But, I will mention again that this may be his last book. The reason why I believe that is because Sowell threw almost everything he ever wrote into the book. In fact, as I was reading it, it almost felt like a compilation of all his works, plus a few updates.

While some long-time fans of Sowell may have hoped for something entirely new with, “Intellectuals and Society,” let me mention that he updates many of the statistics from previous works, and elaborates on some older topics, so you will not be disappointed if you have already familiar with Sowell.

Overall, it was a great read.
